Background

The SCPHC 3D Herbarium (Sirindhorn College of Public Health Chonburi Herbarium) is Thailand’s first 3D herbal medicine database, established in 2024 by Dr. Anchisa Poonprasatporn and Dr. Anuch Salouch with the mission of conserving and advancing Thai herbal medicine. Supported by the Alumni Association of Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Chonburi, the SCPHC Herbarium holds over 200 meticulously preserved 3D specimens of Thai medicinal plants, complete with detailed botanical and traditional usage information, serving as an authoritative resource for herbal medicine research.

As a center for botanical learning and education, SCPHC Herbarium functions as a crucial database for students, researchers, and the general public, facilitating safe and accurate herbal medicine study. Furthermore, it plays a vital role in exchanging herbal medicine information both nationally and internationally, leading to the development of Thai herbal medicine knowledge at the global level.

– Document and preserve medicinal plant biodiversity
